It’s time for our next challenge. This challenge is inspired by World Card Making Day (Saturday, October 3, 2009). World Card Making Day is a holiday for card makers to do what the do best, make cards. This challenge incorporates a shaped card and a color combination. The circle represents the world and the colors identify with the earth’s natural elements, such as air, water, grass, and ground. For inspiration I used a photo from West Elm.
Upload a photo of your project to your blog or online gallery, such as Splitcoaststampers, Flickr, or Papertrey Ink, then copy the direct link to your project to the Mr. Linky widget below. If you do not have a direct link to your blog/gallery posting that features the challenge, your link may be deleted. If it is deleted, no biggie, just come back and re-link the correct link! Only links left in the Mr. Linky widget will be considered for challenge submissions.
For this challenge, make sure you use all of the colors on a circle card. If you want additional direction on the actual colors, Papertrey Ink’s white, aqua mist, spring moss, and dark chocolate are sample hues for this challenge. Feel free to use other manufacturers, such as Stampin’ Up!’s white, bashful blue, certainly celery, and chocolate chip. Remember, the brown hue is an optional color to include on your circle card.
If you want to use the graphic above, feel free to, but make sure your right-click and choose the “Save Image As” choice to save it to your computer, then upload to your blog! Never made a circle card before? It’s okay! Soon, we will post tutorials on how to make circle cards in various ways! Thanks for participating in the challenge!
The challenge will end Thursday, October 15, 2009 10:00 PM EST Sunday, October 18, 2009 10:00 PM EST.
