Embellish the Cure Challenge Title

Embellish The Cure Challenge

It’s time for our next challenge.  This challenge is inspired by Breast Cancer Awareness.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and what better way to show support for this cause than to create some fun projects.  This challenge incorporates rhinestones and a color combination.  The shades of pink represent the fight for the cure, so we will “Embellish the Cure” by using rhinestones.

For this challenge, make sure you use all of the colors on any paper crafting design (i.e., card, scrapbook layout, mini book, tag, gift bag, box, etc.).  The main colors are highlighted in Polaroid inspired color swatches.  If you want additional direction on the actual colors, Papertrey Ink’s raspberry fizz, sweet blush, and smokey shadow are sample hues for this challenge.  Feel free to use other manufacturers, such as Stampin’ Up!’s melon mambo, pretty in pink, and basic gray.  White or cream are optional color choices to add to your projects to create neutrality.  A hint of black is also permitted for outlined images and sentiments!   Remember, colors can be incorporated into your project in more ways than cardstock.  For the rhinestones, please keep the color combination in mind, so clear and pink rhinestones are recommended.  If you have brads or other ways to incorporate bling using the color combination, feel free to do so.

Upload a photo of your project to your blog or online gallery, such as Splitcoaststampers, Flickr, or Papertrey Ink, then copy the direct link to your project to the Mr. Linky widget below.  If you do not have a direct link to your blog/gallery posting that features the challenge, your link may be deleted.  If it is deleted, no biggie, just come back and re-link the correct link!  Only links left in the Mr. Linky widget will be considered for challenge submissions.

We also have a Flickr Group available to share your projects.  Please add your projects to Embellish Magazine Flickr group.

If you want to use the graphic above, feel free to, but make sure you right-click and choose the “Save Image As” choice to save it to your computer, then upload to your blog!

I love this challenge. I lost my great grandmother and grandmother to breast cancer, and my mom is a two time survivor. I think this is a beautiful way to honor all the survivors out there and to remind women to always get their checkups. Early detection is key. My Mom is here to prove that.
    Thanks for this, Ashley.
