• Embellish Felt Color Challenge :: Sponsored by My Favorite Things

Did you know My Favorite Things sells felt?  It’s great and they have an array of colors, perfect for your felt stash!

Think fresh, fun and completely distinctive, and you have My Favorite Things (MFT).  From our passionately popular “Who’s That Girl” line, to the sweet “Pure Innocence” and “Jolinne” characters, MFT has a little something for everyone, and a lot of something different!

You’ve found a stamping home with your MFT family, there’s fun & friendship to be had in addition to the best stamps an stamping products around.  With Brand Spankin’ New releases every month, there is always something worth coming back for!

Wanna see the complete line? Visit www.mftstamps.com!

This challenge requires you to create a project using the color challenge and felt.  Felt is a new medium used by paper crafters to add texture to projects.  From basic backgrounds to ‘felt piecing’ to handmade flowers, there are so many felt design options.  Projects can include color by using cardstock and/or patterned paper, instead of by coloring stamped images.  Don’t forget that felt can be incorporated into other paper craft ideas, including scrapbook layouts, mini albums, and other altered art.

The main colors are highlighted in Polaroid inspired color swatches. Keep the colors of your project as close to the colors in the challenge image.  Remember, colors can be incorporated into your project in more ways than cardstock.

*White/Cream may be used as an additional neutral color.

    Don’t forget:

    1. Use the colors in the Polaroid-inspired color swatches (featured in the image above) and

    2. Use felt.

You have until Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST to submit your entries below.

The photos used in the graphic are by McArthur Newell.

After the challenge ends, the design team will select six designers who created hot projects to highlight. The designers will be highlighted in a blog posting.  You can find all blog postings related to challenge winners in the drop down category menu on the right sidebar at the top, called “Embellish What’s Hot.” Additionally, there will be a designer who will be featured and will win a $25 Gift Certificate from My Favorite Things.  The winner must contact Embellish Magazine within 48 hours of the announcement. We reserve the right to select a new winner if the designer makes no contact.

The design team is at it again!  This time, they are using felt by My Favorite Things.  Take a look at how you can use felt on your projects.  Don’t forget to click on each photo to visit the designers’ blogs because some may have an additional project to share featuring more My Favorite Things products!

I am so super keen to participate, but checking out the “add your link” button, nothing happens. Anyone has this same problem? I tried earlier on and now the same thing too. Is there any other option? Or some kind soul whose computer button works who would help me upload my submission if I do complete one :) ? Thanks for checking it out.

Check out the instructions to see if any of those technicalities apply. I’m not sure why it isn’t working for you. We have an entry already posted, so it works!
