Hooray! It’s Friday, there was a huge royal wedding today and now a spring challenge to jump start your creativity. For this challenge, it’s all about those soft hues. Those photos taken by Tina are amazing! Love the tea theme! You do not have to use the tea theme, just create a square card! You know if you want to scrap, we’ll check that out too!

The JustRite stamping community is all about fun designs, facilitating inspiration and sharing ideas. Sharing is the optimal word because we value our communication with you the stamper and want you to find the right creative opportunity. We desire a two way communication in which you share with us and others so that we all grow in our creative journey. Social media enables us to offer new ways to communicate and share ideas and you will find a number of ways to communicate with us and each other. We love to hear from you.

This challenge requires you to create a square card using the color challenge. Any square card size you want to create will fit this challenge requirement. For those scrappers out there, just make a square layout and that will work too! We want to see how you create within the square!
The main colors are featured in the challenge inspiration board above. Keep the colors of your project as close to the colors in the challenge image. Remember, colors can be incorporated into your project in more ways than cardstock. If you would like to use a neutral of white/cream and black/brown, please feel free to add it!

Upload a photo of your project to your blog or online gallery, such as Splitcoaststampers or Flickr, then copy the direct link to your project to the embedded link widget below or on one of the design team’s blogs. If you do not have a direct link to your blog/gallery posting that features the challenge, your link may be deleted. If it is deleted, no biggie, just come back and re-link the correct link! Only links left in the link widget will be considered for challenge submissions.

After the challenge ends, the design team will select top designers who created hot projects to highlight. The designers will be highlighted in a blog posting. You can find all blog postings related to challenge winners in the category menu in the footer below, called “Embellish What’s Hot.”
Additionally, there will be a designer who will be featured and will JustRite stamps (Fancy Labels, Kindness, Vintage Oval Frames). The winner must contact Embellish within 48 hours of the announcement. We reserve the right to select a new winner if the designer makes no contact.

Even if you’re feeling a bit square, the designers have some creative inspiration to share with you to help you think outside of the box. Check out how they used JustRite cling stamps to make some beautiful square cards.
Ashley created a friendship card using the Vintage Ovals stamp set. She stamped the ornate label design, hand cut it, and layered it with petite oval die cut and a sentiment strip. She kept the design very simple, allowing the label and sentiment to steal the show.
Charlene created this embossed friendship card using Friendship Blooms stamp set. She dry embossed the leaf pattern and heat embossed the blooms and the label.
Cristina designed a sweet baby card using the Fancy Labels stamp set. She stamped the entire background and embellished the card with a tag wrapped with twine and cute letters.
Mariana made this square thank you card that features the Fancy Frames stamp set. She stitched around the frame and layered it with additional die cuts with coordinating JustRite stamps.Sarah used the You Inspire Me stamp set as the focal point of her shabby chic card. She embellished the label with a sentiment and trims.
Tina designed this card using the Fancy Tags stamp set and Happy Everything coordinating dies. She layered the card with embellishments and add the tag with twine.

My apologies for posting the winners so late. So we’ve heard you all loud and clear, you love decorative trim and we do too! We absolutely loved “OOOOHING and AAAAHING” over your designs. Please join us in congratulating, Cee Cee on her beautiful clean and graphic card all dressed up with trim! Crochet trims can be found in just about any manufacturer’s collections. They are the perfect way to dress up and embellish paper crafting projects. Whether your style is vintage, shabby chic, elegant, or just plain and simple, adding decorative trim to projects is easy, yet so effective. Join us and add some decorative trim to your project for this challenge.

This challenge requires you to create a paper craft project using the color challenge and crochet trim. Creating paper craft projects with crochet trim can be so easy! Just add an entire strip or a small sample to your card, layout, or altered art. Embellish the trim, make it an accent, or let it steal the show. You can use lace trim, crocheted trim, punched or die cut lacey patterned paper or cardstock – even lacey doilies will count! We can’t wait to see what you create.

Mariana made this note card that uses crochet trim as a dividing border with lots of texture.
Sarah used the crochet trim to layer and border her feminine thank you card. She also added the other trim behind the sentiment embellishment!

WOW! The Masculine Color Trends Challenge turned out to be a huge hit! You all have definitely mastered the art in creating paper craft projects for me. We even had TWO male designers offer their creativity on a masculine design. We are truly grateful for all of the entries and participation. Please join us in congratulating, Jen Rzasa on her masculine card that really “hammered” the design team in voting for her project! Ashley created postal card. She added the velvet and crocheted decorative trim under the layered embellishments and accented it with rhinestones.
Charlene created this feminine card using the velvet and crocheted decorative trim. She ever so cleverly used the reversed side of the trim on a part of her design.Cristina designed this cute Easter gift bag. She wrapped the velvet and crocheted decorative trim around the bag to give it perfect texture and color.
Mariana made this elegant card. She used the velvet and crocheted decorative trim as a creative border on her design.
Sarah used the velvet and crocheted decorative trim as an accent to her layered embellishments. She tucked a couple of strips of the trim under the embellishments for dimension, color and texture.
