• Rainbow Color Trends Challenge

The photograph(s) in the challenge inspiration board are by Flying House Studios and from our very own designer, Tina Fussell!

Established in 1989, DeNami Design has been known for a timeless style featuring simply elegant art.  From our extensive line of quality rubber stamps to the newer line of coordinating scrapbook papers, buttons, ribbons, and glitters, we specialize in stylish and sophisticated products.  Our delightful designs are easy to mix and match for a designer look on all of your paper crafts!

This challenge requires you to create a card, scrapbook layout, or altered item using the color challenge and rainbows. To make this super fun, you can either use an actual rainbow on your project OR incorporate the colors to create an rainbow, such as grouping cardstock or rhinestone hues together to simulate a rainbow. This challenge will surely brighten your day, so do not feel overwhelmed! You can use bright and bold colors or soft pastels of the hues showcased! We really want to see the gradient of rainbow colors showcased, that’s all!

The main colors are featured in the challenge inspiration board above. Remember, colors can be incorporated into your project in more ways than cardstock. The neutral tones for this challenge have been highlighted in the color challenge (white and black).

Upload a photo of your project to your blog or online gallery, such as Flickr, then copy the direct link to your project/post to the embedded link widget below or on one of the design team’s blogs. If you do not have a direct link to your blog/gallery posting that features the challenge, your link may be deleted. If it is deleted, no biggie, just come back and re-link the correct link! Only links left in the link widget will be considered for challenge submissions.

After the challenge ends, the design team will select top designers who created hot projects to highlight. The designers will be highlighted in a blog posting. You can find all blog postings related to challenge winners in the category menu in the footer below, called “Embellish What’s Hot.”

Additionally, there will be a designer who will be featured and will win a $25 gift certificate to DeNami Design, allowing the winner to select any stamps or paper crafting supplies they want! The winner must contact Embellish within 48 hours of the announcement. We reserve the right to select a new winner if the designer makes no contact.

DeNami Design is known for their wood-mounted rubber stamps. The team has used them to showcase projects using various stamps to bring you lots of rainbow sunshine! We hope you’re inspired and create fun and colorful designs with us too for this challenge!

Ashley made a notebook using the the Rainbow, Polka Dot Background, Sending You Love and Small Cloud stamps. She paper pieced the rainbows and positioned them vertically for a scalloped edge effect.

Charlene had a lot of fun creating her card. Remember the rainbow YouTube sensation? Well, that was the inspiration for her card that uses the the Rainbow and Small Cloud stamps. The great thing about paper crafting is that you can make it your own!

Cristina designed this clean and graphic card using the Heartfelt Greetings and Small Cloud stamps. She punched the heart from the cloud center to make it her own. She also featured a rainbow by using cardstock strips in various hues.

Mariana created this great color block card using the Rainbow, Heartfelt Greetings, and Small Cloud stamps. She adorned it with some rhinestones. She didn’t even have to use markers to color the image!

Sarah designed this delightful treasure using the Small Cloud and You’re a Treasure stamps. She created a rainbow using an array of trims.

Tina made this sweet hello card using the Rainbow and Small Cloud stamps. She paper pieced the rainbow with various patterned papers and finished it off with a simple bow.

Click the image above for additional rules. There are new rules, so please visit the link. Your entry may be deleted if your submission is also a part of a lot of other challenges.

You can create a card, layout, or altered item. The only requirements are to use rainbow colors to simulate a rainbow. You do not have to use stamps.
