• Embellish Leaves, Acorns, & Pine Cones Color Challenge :: That’s a Wrap

    This challenge wraps up what’s left of Autumn.  It seems like most of you all have definitely moved on to Christmas and the Winter season!  Don’t worry, we’ll be back tomorrow with a color combination and a feature that will inspire your holiday designs.  For this challenge, keeping it warm and outdoorsy was the focal point.  There are so many Autumn outdoor elements and leaves, acorns, and pine cones are just a few.  Earth tones are one of my personal favorite color choices, but then again, I really like them all!  I hope this challenge has inspired you to embrace earth tones and the outdoors.  Here are a few more cards that we hope will inspire you some more!  There is still time to make a thank you card for the hostess of a Thanksgiving dinner you attended!  Thanks for taking a peek and we hope you join us tomorrow for our last challenge for the year!

  • Embellish Brads Color Challenge :: That’s a Wrap

    Happy Thanksgiving to our Embellish fans!  We all hope you are enjoying your turkey day or simply spending time with friends and family.  The Embellish Brads Color Challenge is just about over.  You have a few more hours to submit, which is plenty of time to drum up a card with some primary cards and brads!  Speaking of cards, here are a few that Charlene, Sarah, and myself made.  Although the colors may not seem traditional for this season, many holiday decorations are taking on a twist.  Sarah Martina expresses this in her holiday card below.  Many crafters frown up at the site of brads; however, there are many decorative brads that can jazz up any project.  For traditional brads, they can be used similar to popular embellishments, such as buttons or rhinestones.  Embrace brads!

    Thanks so much for participating and when you get a chance, hop around to those amazing entries where you can get some cute ideas and much inspiration.

  • Be Inspired :: Embellish Brads Color Challenge

    The current challenge highlights brads and the following colors: green, red, blue, and yellow.  All of this weeks inspiration photos are from Mod Cloth.  I recently found this online clothing retailer and really love the clothing designs and colors.  Here are a few pictures that will hopefully inspire you to create a project within the challenge constraints.  Compiling these inspirational items together is so much fun.  I had so much fun “shopping” without any damage to my budget!  Enjoy!

  • Embellish Owls Color Challenge :: That’s a Wrap

    Time is just about up for the Embellish Owls Color Challenge.  You have about 4 more hours to submit, which is plenty of time to drum up a card with a cute owl on it!  Speaking of cards, here are a few that Charlene, Sarah, and myself made.  I challenged myself by using only the computer to generate a card.  I created everything in Photoshop, then printed and slapped it on a berry sorbet card base.  It is a true one-layer card.  Although I’m not a huge fan of it, I’m sure the envelope and shipping costs are!

    I’ve been hopping around all of the submissions and they are simply amazing!  I was blown away by so many of the designs.  If you have not already clicked on EVERY entry, please make sure you do because there is a lot of inspiration out there waiting for you!  Thanks so much for participating and I’ll be back in a few hours with our next challenge!
